Über [rezens.tfm]

[rezens.tfm] is published biannually as an online journal for scholarly reviews by the Department of Theater, Film and Media Studies (tfm) at the University of Vienna and comprises reviews of pertinent new publications within the fields of theater, film, media, and cultural studies.

[rezens.tfm] is a specialized online journal featuring exclusively contributions from academics. Its in-depth reviews reach a broad scholarly readership, with more than 4,000 accesses per issue. As of present, over 300 publications have undergone review. Approximately 50 reviewers, comprising academic staff, lecturers and graduates of TFM, alongside members of other departments and freelance academics, regularly contribute reviews to the online journal.

To ensure institutional impartiality, the journal will only review works authored (in the case of monographs) or edited (in the case of anthologies) by individuals not affiliated with the department at the time of the work’s creation and publication.
